A trainer for the WiRe entrance exam at WU
We are building a trainer with legal tasks in WU's format and German comprehension tasks on newspaper texts. It is built on WU's two scripts on private and public law.

A sample of how the trainer will work: the format of WU's legal questions on one sample question, not a WiRe question.
Two points, five crosses
Tick and untick crosses right on the sheet. The scale above counts the points by WU's rules.
A KG (limited partnership) owes €400,000 and has no assets left that could be sold. The general partner paid in €60,000, the limited partner €25,000. Which statements are right?
What the written exam covers
The trainer will be organised by these parts of the exam.
- Legal part, 70% of the score: WU's scripts on private law (Privatrecht) and public law (Öffentliches Recht); WU says these two scripts alone are the exam material
- German part, 30% of the score: 20 single-choice questions on 3 excerpts from newspaper articles; complete statements, place text sections, match statements to sections
- Legal questions give partial credit; German questions have exactly one right alternative
What the trainer will have
Legal tasks in WU's format with partial credit, German tasks on newspaper excerpts, theory from WU's scripts and an explanation of every answer.
Tasks by part of the exam
Legal tasks with five alternatives and partial credit, German on newspaper excerpts.
Theory from WU's scripts
Short summaries of the private and public law topics in WU's two scripts.
Every answer explained
After you answer you see which alternatives are right and why, and how many points WU's rules would give you.

The legal part is examined on two scripts that WU provides, one on private law and one on public law. For the German part WU says neither legal knowledge nor separate preparation is needed.
No. It starts only if, after the registration deadline, there are more valid registrations than places. With fewer registrations there is no procedure and you apply for admission directly during the admission period.
The legal part counts 70% of the total (35 questions, 2 points each) and the German part 30% (20 questions, 1.5 points each), 100 points in all.
€50, non-refundable even if you do not pass. For the 2026 procedure WU waived it for Ukrainian citizens. Registration in 2026 ran from 2 March to 19 May.
WU publishes the information for the 2027/28 procedure in mid-November. The procedure takes place once a year.
