Format and requirements
Exam format
The onSET is the German language test used for admission to VWU Wien (Vorstudienlehrgang) and, in Germany, at Studienkollegs. It is computer-based: eight short texts, five minutes each, with 160 gaps to fill in total.

How a gap works
A gap never deletes a whole word, only its second half. The first sentence of each text stays intact; after that, every second word loses its ending, and you type the ending back until a real German word stands there again.
