Exam Format

Written Exam ⏱️ 3 hours

  • 9–10 problems
  • Teil A + Teil B
  • Paper-based solution; simple (non-programmable) calculator allowed — see list below
  • Formelsammlung (official formula collection) allowed — see section 'What you can bring'

Oral Exam 🎤 ~20 minutes

  • 15 minutes to solve 2–3 simplified problems (shorter than written ones)
  • Then explanation of solution and reasoning to a 3-person committee
  • Exemption possible with ≥3/4 bonus points

  • Grading scale: 1 (very good), 2 (good), 3 (satisfactory), 4 (sufficient), 5 (insufficient/unsatisfactory).
  • Grade 5 is negative: exam not passed; maximum four retakes allowed.
  • Certificate issuance: on scheduled days; have ID with you.

  • Simple geometric ruler/triangle, compass (if permitted by local classroom rules)
